PRAYERS There is a sheet at the west end of the church for names for inclusion in the time of prayer both at the Sunday services and throughout the week. HELP NEEDED Volunteers are desperately needed to help keep the church clean and tidy. If you can spare as little as one hour a month to be on a rota, please contact Rita Benwell on 020 8302 9064. CHURCHYARD There will be another working party in the churchyard today from 2.30 – 4pm with tea to follow. Please come suitably dressed and bring your gardening tools. FLOWER FESTIVAL MEETING Come along to the parish room today at 3.00pm to find out more about the September flower festival. Tea and cakes will be available. Sign the lilac form at the back of church. GARDEN PARTY Sunday 15 th August at Heather's house, 109 Bexley Lane from 12 – 4.30pm. Tickets will be £1 to include a cup of tea – on sale after the 10am service today. Flower Festival Friday 17 th – Sunday 19 th September Proceeds to Demelza House Children's Hospice and St John's Tea You are invited to Mothers' Union Sidcup Deanery -Thursday 29 th July 2.30pm Holy Trinity Church Hall. Come and meet ladies from the Multi-Faith Forum and join us for afternoon tea. Everyone is very welcome. Tickets £5. from Yvonne Wright. Mothers' Union Visit and guided tour of Mary Sumner House, - newly refurbished headquarters of the Mothers' Union is on Wednesday 4 th August. Cost £3.75. Yvonne Wright NEW BISHOP OF ROCHESTER The next Bishop of Rochester is to be The Right Reverend James Langstaff, currently Suffragan Bishop of Lynn in the Diocese of Norwich. Bishop James is 54, has extensive parish ministry, especially in the Diocese of Birmingham. He is married to Bridget, and they have two adult children. There is no date yet for Bishop James to move to Rochester , though it is unlikely to be before late autumn. SUMMER CLUB Thank you to everyone who has collected bits and bobs for summer club, we now have enough materials.
